Volunteers from Wild Bird Rehabilitation will read a book about a young pigeon who makes every excuse in the world for why he doesn't need to go to bed. The name of the book is Don't Let the Pigeon Stay UP Late!
The author and illustrator, Mo Willems, is a number-one New York Times best-selling author who has been awarded three Caldecott Honors, two Theodor Seuss Geisel Medals, and four Geisel Honors.
WBR's story teller is Sue Kotar, published author and the author of the highest ranked Gunsmoke ever.
Children will also learn how to make nestling baskets. We make and use thousands of these baskets for the babies (nestlings) who come to WBR.
